A FREE training to help Health Care Professionals and paraprofessionals address the dual risks of unmanaged diabetes and tobacco use and exposure.

Do you work with patients who have diabetes and use tobacco? If so, PA cAARds! is here to help you. This integrated initiative trains health professionals and paraprofessionals to use Ask, Advise, Refer, the brief intervention process and cross-refer their clients and patients to diabetes education/self-management and tobacco cessation services. This program also offers technical assistance to your organization in the implementation of PA cAARds!

Who Should Attend: This initiative will provide an interdisciplinary structure for training, implementation, and even institutionalization of this integrated training model to public health professionals and volunteers including, but not limited to, nurses, diabetes educators, pharmacists, cessation specialists, health care providers, social workers, and paraprofessionals.

This training is FREE and provides Continuing Education Credits.

CEU's will be provided at no charge to participants (Nursing, Diabetes Educator, Dieticians, Social Workers, and General)
