Regional Advisory Councils
In order to ensure that the statewide project is locally informed, BE A BRIDGE works with key leaders in the areas of tobacco control and chronic disease in each of the six health districts throughout the state of Pennsylvania. These key leaders provide direction and guidance for the project. The Regional Advisory Councils (RAC) are critical in ensuring local participation and insight. The role of RAC members include assisting with the following:
- Identifying CBOs, Agencies, Health Providers and other groups to participate in the project who are interested in providing tobacco control and/or chronic disease programs and services to disparate groups
- Identifying and addressing the needs of public health service groups within your region
- Providing guidance and feedback on the planning of your region's summit
- Identifying quality programs being utilized in your region
- Planning and assisting facilitation of follow-up conference calls and workshops at the local level
